• This model focuses on 3 different forms of knowledge
    • CK - Content Knowledge
      • Teachers knowledge about the subject matter to be learned or taught
    • PK - Pedagogy Knowledge
      • Teachers deep knowledge about the processes and practices or methods of teaching and learning
      • Understanding how students learn, classroom management, lesson planning, and student assessment
    • TK - Technology Knowledge
      • Knowledge about certain ways of thinking about, and working with technology, tools, and resources
      • Being able to continually adapt to changes in information technology
      • Then within those 3 categories, there are 3 different categories of knowledge
    • PCK - Pedagogical Content Knowledge
      • Understanding of how pedagogy and content go hand in hand with one another
      • Educators need to understand the content they are planning on teaching
      • Educators need to understand pedagogy, how to teach the content.
    • TCK - Technological Content Knowledge
      • Understanding of the manner in which technology and content influence and constrain one another
      • Teachers need to have a deep understand of the manner in which the subject manner can be changed by the application of particular technologies
      • Teachers need to understand which specific technologies are best suited for addressing subject-matter
    • TPK - Technological Pedagogical Knowledge
      • Understanding of how teaching and learning can change when particular technologies are used in a particular way
      • Then the intersection of those 3 combine into 1 main category
    • TPACK - Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge
